Italy Divide, the longest unsupported bicycle adventure in Europe, from Rome to Torbole (Trentino):
RAAM - Race Across America, non-stop race from the West to the East Coast:
I was born in 1971 and I love cycling, mountain racing, mountaineering, alpine skiing and skin mountaineering. I also have a crazy passion for endurance.
I work doing bike repairs and am a ski instructor.
I participated in 5 RAAM (Race Across America) and I hold different records From Zero To Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Mount Elbrus, Mount Aconcagua and Kilimanjaro. I have participated and have many victories in trail running competitions and I also won the ITALY divide gravel non-stop.
I usually go high up in the mountains. The higher I go, the more I recharge my batteries. High up in the mountains is the most powerful medicine.
I wrote a book: “LA FATICA NON ESISTE” which means “Exertion doesn’t exist”. When you do something you love, strain doesn’t really exist and limits are only an illusion.
In my opinion, a sacrifice is when I am not able to do what I want - to ski, to ride, to run or to climb. Otherwise it is always worth it.
Since my passion is endurance sports, concentration and mental effort are key elements.
I ride, run, climb...and I will shortly learn to fly.
