ABOUT ME:
Hey, I am Konsti. A 21 year old skier from Germany based in Innsbruck. With a race background, I started freeskiing at the age of 15. Shredding through the resort and skiing with the “cool kids” was what I always wanted to do. Ever since then you can find me all over the mountain - lapping the park, cruising some fun runs or climbing further up to get access to some bigger lines. The whole mountain is a playground, so I want to ski it all.
I don’t think I ski for a single moment - I ski for the many moments skiing offers me. But yeah, if you or a friend ski a sick line or stomp a big cliff, those moments of stoke are the best.
MORE:
If I need to recharge my batteries, I take a day off from skiing to hang out with friends, maybe get some office work done or go out for a few beers with the mates.
Definitely “Keep it real”! The freeski scene is becoming more and more serious in competitive skiing as well as in video productions or just being a skier in general. Like it was back in the day, we should ski for us because we love it and not for someone else. This is what we should always remember and maybe keep it a little bit looser. haha.
I think everything happens in your head first. A strong mentality is needed as well as a lot of experience, but never be afraid to cop out. Another day, another chance!
Right now I am on my way back from a knee and shoulder injury, so I’m doing a lot of physio.
When I’m not injured and not skiing, I’m always down for some new activities. It just needs to happen outside. Besides that, I do a lot of mountain- and road biking, climbing or hanging out with friends.
Last Summer I also worked as a Mountain Bike guide in Sölden.
I like to listen to some good tunes to get myself pumped and ready to drop. Also, take a moment for yourself, rethink your line and think of the moment of stoke if you land it.
